Magic Falls and Magic Rivers Rafting Companies to Honor First Responders on 9/11

On the tenth anniversary of 9/11, Magic Falls and Magic Rivers Rafting Companies of West Forks, Maine will honor and thank all active duty firefighters, emergency personnel and military for the work they do in protecting the lives and property of American citizens.

On Sunday, September 11, Magic Falls and Magic Rivers are offering 150 whitewater rafting trips on the Kennebec River for free to these first responders and their families. Reservations must be made in advance and will be offered on a first come/first served basis.

Last winter I sat on a rock high up on the eastern side of Steward Mountain here in Highland Plantation, Somerset County [Maine] to take a break while checking traps. To my right were Witham and Bald Mountains and across the Sandy Stream Valley were Burnt and Briggs. To the north was Barker Brook, further on lay West, Middle, and East Carry Ponds and beyond Pierce Pond and the Dead River. What a beautiful sight to behold.

Washington, D.C. - Policy experts from the National Center for Public Policy Research will participate in the "Fire Jeff Immelt Rally" being organized by Utah Rising, FreedomWorks and local Tea Party organizations at GE’s annual shareholder meeting Wednesday.

The rally will be held April 27 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah from 9-10 AM Mountain Time prior to the GE annual meeting of shareholders.
