On the road in Aroostook

By ldutson - Posted on 26 August 2008

Being on the bus tour with the Collins crew has been a blast so far. Aroostook County really is beautiful this time of year, amazing how much of a temperature difference there is here though.

I've had an interesting time figuring out how to process video and pictures from a moving vehicle, I think I've got the kinks worked out though. We had a fun time at dinner in Presque Isle last night, and will be all over the county today.

It's really fascinating seeing Senator Collins' family and friends, learning about her roots in Caribou. I find myself thinking of her in terms of 'The Senator' most of the time, and it really gives so much of a complete perspective on what an amazing career she's had when you see the people and places she grew up around.

One more quick note- I was pretty psyched to see some supporter video of our kick-off yesterday. This guy was at our bus launch and got some good shots that I missed because of a bad angle. Really cool to see this stuff being generated, unsolicited.
